This 6GHz amplifier was produced using Excelics Semiconductor high efficiency heterojunction power FETS on Roger RO4003 material. Typical gain is 24dB +/-1dB from 5GHz to 7GHz. Output P1dB of +25dBm and noise figure is typically less than 2dB. This amplifier design uses a combination of Rogers material laminated onto FR-4 for ruggedness. These amplifier evaluation boards led to a very successful transceiver design. |
