We have evaluation boards for National Semiconductor and Silicon Labs synthesizer chips. You can use these baords to test the synthesizer chip RF characteristics or as a system local oscillator in your communications system application. The are also useful for developing your tuning code. Don't want to develop code? We have modules with built in controllers to autoload your frequency on power-up. Valon 5001 dual output synthesizer module with Silicon Labs Si4133 includes trimmable TCXO and voltage regulators. Typical modules available for 800-1800MHz RF output and 60-1000MHz IF outputs. This module uses an aluminum from for greater connector rigidity. Programming is through the 4-wire serial interface to PC parallel port. Silicon labs PC application is used for programming.

Valon 5002 Silicon labs Si4133 dual synthesizer module similar to above but without the connector frame assembly. This version uses an inexpensive crystal oscillator instead of the TCXO. This version is available with frequencies as high 2.1GHz.

Valon 5003 dual Si4133 synthesizer board with FLASH microprocessor for loading RF and IF frequencies. Can have up to 16 pre-programmed RF and IF frequency combinations. RF frequencies from 750MHz to 1.8GHz. IF frequencies from 62.5MHz to 950MHz. Use the on board TCXO or external reference. RF and IF output power is >+7dBm for driving level 7 mixers directly.

Valon 5012 dual synthesizer (ki6qp dual synthesizer) evaluation board is designed to accept the National Semiconductor LMX23xx series 20-pin TSSOP PLL chips. This family of PLLs are second sourced by a number of vendors incuding Fujitsu and Cypress Semiconductors. This evaluation board includes two VCO circuits with independant, buffered outputs. The VCO circuits can be assembled such that the UHF oscillator will operate in the 500-2500MHz range and the VHF oscillator will operate in the 20-500MHz range.

This evaluation board can operate in a stand alone mode and will boot the PLL up on the preprogrammed frequencies using the included Parallax Basic Stamp microprocessor module. Also included is a precission Rakon 1ppm TXCO and voltage regulators for dc operation from 6-12 Vdc supplies
